It has been a quite long time since my last review about toast & dine.

In this review I will not show you complete picture about the ambiance tho but I will give you sneak peak about some good ice cream not just ordinary but something unique and special.




Kick Ass literally means kicking real ass and your can see it in their symbol

They serve coffee and ice cream when I went there but now expanding to chicken wings.
The ice cream itself was quite special because they have a lot of unique flavors. The ice cream makers is Hubble scoops. It served around 16 flavors, some are okay, some are weird and some are delicious.
So here they are.

I forget the actual name but remember the taste

It was kiwi with dragon fruit, coffee latte with oreo, butter pop corn, chocolate and lavender

Before making decision which ice cream you want, you can ask the barista to give you the samples. You can try all the flavor but I suggest not to, it will makes you more confused in making decision. 

I tried breakfast at tiffany's made of vanila and beef bacon ! yeah you can chew the bacon to while eating the ice cream :p the taste is sweet and unique but didn't match my taste. 

Kiwi with fruit dragon : this one is for you who prefer sorbet or fruity flavor. The flavor of both fruits, surprisingly dominant equally. Once it was so sour but taste the original taste of dragon fruit also still there. 

Butter popcorn : this is for you popcorn lovers. It gave me the feeling of watching movie in the theater. The burn taste of popcorn was very real!

Coffee -oreo : the taste of coffee was very dominant in sweet dark way

Lavender : the taste of lavender is strong, tasted like drinking lavender tea with milk and I love it, I can say this one is my favorite. I like flower and tea so It was a good combination :)

Chocolate : like the other chocolate :) match for people who love classic taste

The coffee was nice, you can control the sugar by yourself by adding sugar cane or brown sugar. But I like it dark without any sugar added. You can taste the real taste of the coffee

for the coffee I only try a sip from my friends; cup. The good thing, you can add the sugar cane or brown sugar by yourself. For me, I prefer not to add anything else in my coffee. I like it original and dark as it is. you can taste the coffee better. :)

definitely gonna come back again here to try the homemade chicken wings ..

Have you ever visited a cafe or a restaurant that makes you feel so comfortable and you forget that you are in a public space?
Toast and dine is a new spot in Gading Serpong near Gading Golf that makes me feel like that.
Luckily me and 2 of my friends visited this place on weekday, on Wednesday to be precise. I arrived around 05.30pm and we stay there until 08.00pm.. The place was silent, and I can say it was like we owned the place.

Date of visit : Wednesday, November 18, 2015

The interior was so cozy with different non identical furniture for each spot and we chose the best seat which facing the pc screen. we can choose our own favorite songs to be played in the cafe through a pc and magnificent speakers (at the end we realized that the sound was echoing in the street outside the cafe :p). We played some latest favorite songs from youtube and karaoke-ing by reading the lyrics.

You also can find some plugs behind the sofa .. no need to fight for plugs to charge your phone :P




It was a very good time. We also had a voice call with our best friend Anastasia who moved to Canada last September, too bad the wifi connection was not too good. So when the music played and got interrupted , the voice call also interrupted at the same time :(. The worst thing was my note 5 could not connect the wifi, so we were using the iphone 6s for the voice call. I don't know what was the problem. was it the wifi or the device.. but my other friend with the iphone 5 also didn't use the wifi.

See they mixed the lighting between warm and cold light so the room is not too yellow or too bright.. good choice ^_^

Okay, back to the food. I ordered a whole of cheese and bacon pizza along with iced milo. My friend Fifi only ordered a whole cheese pizza (she is a vegetarian so we actually order the same menu but hers was the one without meat), and Eren only order her favorite drink iced tea KC (teh tarik). I ate the most right ?! :p
the pizza was magnificent, with the thin crust, the cheese and the bacon, it was creating a great taste. Even when the pizza getting cold, it tasted incredible .. moist and delicious. I was able to eat the whole portion even though my cheek was swollen due to wisdom tooth operation the previous night.
The milo itself was good enough, not too sweet and not too cold.

Too we didn't take a wefie, but we posted some moments to snapchat :d

I can say this is a food court but without AC.
When you are about to pay for your food, you must purchase for a top up card.

My order : 
Bakmoi chicken porridge

 I usually dislike porridge because it is identical with sick people and I get hungry easily if I only eat porridge. When I do eat porridge it means I am ill or my mom bought it for my breakfast (no other choice)

For this porridge I can say this is not for sick people.. They served the porridge with fried wonton, fried cakwe and firm boiled egg, and savory chicken and tofu.
At that time I felt sick , that's why I ordered this and I can say I eat soft rice instead of porridge..
This is a meal for healthy people..

But the taste was quite good and crunchy like eating porridge with crackers.

Health is not valued till sickness comes.

Wednesday night on October 28, 2015 with my 2 lovely ladies and video call with our friend at Canada.

What we bought : 
hot chocolate :
the hot chocolate didn't use any latte art, just as it is. But the taste was good and even my friend Fifi said it was very delicious

Spaghetti oglio olio : 
My friend Eren is a vegetarian like Fifi (yes both of them are vegetarian but Fifi can tolerate garlic, onion, chives but Eren cannot) so she ordered oglio olio without garlic and ask the chef to add mushrooms into the dish. The pasta was aldente and smells good.

Mushroom soup : 
yes, they were using real mushrooms instead of canned cream soup, it was so nice to taste real mushroom inside the mushroom soup. Not too much but still good. (oops forgot to take pic)

Fried mushrooms: 
big bites! and I love it.. the mayo a little bit spicy but still fine.

beef stroganoff : 
It took a long time for them to give me my beef stroganoff. It came the last (even the people at the other table who just got there later after us, got their order faster then me huff)
when it arrived it was a little bit cold, but the taste was good. The beef was tender but I dislike something that they put inside my pasta , I think it was fat .. I am not sure..

Compliment : 
We got blueberry chocolate for free.. yeay!
The owner was there (father of the owner,, the daughter owns the place ) he said that girls usually like something sweet so he gave us chocolate.
Too bad only Fifi who loves chocolate, me and Eren doesn't like it much. But I can say the treat was sweet and the taste was also good. Thanks a lot uncle!

hello : Eren - Fifi and Me (we took several pics, most of them are showing our weird silly faces and this one is the most normal one :p)

It was so nice to met them that night.. met up after tiring day at work to update life! 

Congratulation to Fifi, she will get married in couple months with his Korean BF and gonna move to Shanghai.. Hopefully she will get a happy life there.. another friend will go to far away land and I miss her already :(

Eren maybe will leave too when she married her Malaysian BF in the future.. Huff.. 

That night we also made a video call with our BFF Anastasia who moved to Canada couple months ago. But the connection was unstable and interrupting the call. :(

Bonus of weird silly faces from us : hahaha

I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.

What I ordered : 

Prawn Okonomiyaki by Tokugawa

Price : IDR 70.000,- (before tax)

The okonomiyaki was sizzling ! the okonomiyaki itself was not thin, it was so thick and rich with meat and flavours. I couldn't believe they weren't using any pork or lard into their dough because it tasted like their using it but their were not !

I could taste the smoke, the sweetness of the prawn meat, the savory of the sauce and whole dough. It was so good! 

Even the price is quite expensive for okonomiyaki, but I believe after you taste it you will not regret it .. Maybe you will have willingness to buy it again at another time. 

Unlike the other okonomiyaki, the meat was all over the okonomiyaki and the dough was not full of white cabbage like others. The presentation was also good, they weren't using Styrofoam or box but they served it using hot plate.. ulalalaa.. sizzling !

I love this okonomiyaki. No wonder why the price is high cause the taste is wonderful.. 

 a round okonomiyaki was sliced into 4 big parts, I cut it smaller into 8 parts

Actually my friend from Bandung bought this and I bought something else. But like any other girls, we shared our food. 

That day was her 1st visit to AEON mall bsd city and we arrived at dinner time. We walked around the mall to find the best restaurant to fulfill our stomach and she decided to try this okonomiyaki. :D Good choice!

Oh I had mentioned her in my previous story but maybe you haven't seen her pic, so here it is.. Wu Lan the doctor from Bandung (my high school - science class friend). She was staying at my home for 3 days and 2 nights. We didn't sleep at the same room though because she was having a cold (bad cough -_-')

She will come again in the next 2 weeks to attend our high school friends wedding ; Lani and Rena .. yes it's happening.. a lot of  friends are getting my married this year.. I counted and it will be more than 20 persons this year in total x_X

Sweet martabak

What I bought : 

Sweet Martabak cheese and chocolate

My father bought this for my family at home. He went to Bogor with his old friend who used to live in Bogor for couple years. His friend said this martabak is good and a lot of people come to buy even though this is categorized as food street. For the additional information, the seller is an old man maybe that's why the martabak was good (a lot of experience in making martabak ?!).

At their first visit there, my father wasn't successful to bring the martabak home but at the second visit, they got it and bring it home successfully YEAYY!

That was my fortunate time to be able to try this legendary food. When I opened the box, the martabak looked so ordinary like the others. The martabak was not too oily but not dry either. When I touched the martabak, the surface was in the perfect moisture level.

For my first bite I can tell you it wasn't disappointing. The taste was salty but in a good way because it gave a balance taste in my mouth between the sweet fillings and the milk inside. My father told us that the seller didn't use butter for the martabak and only using ordinary margarine like blueband. Wow.. how can the seller able to create such tasty martabak with ordinary margarine? And the smell.. uhmm.. even after a long road from Bogor to Jakarta, the smell of vanilla still there for us to smell.

If you come to Bogor area, please make sure you go to Surya kencana road and Gang Aut to have a great culinary experiences.
